Over £3k raised in the Eric Constable Cup
Just four weeks ago, the club held a very special event, paying tribute to a much loved supporter of Southam United. The Eric Constable Memorial Cup was contested between the Constable Saints and the Florida Rovers, made up of Eric's friends and family.
After a hard-fought 90 minutes, the Constable Saints emerged victorious six goals to three.
The event was organised by the Constable family, with support from the club, and all money raised from the gate, raffle, and programme sales, has now been counted and has been kindly gifted to the club to support us with our future growth.
The total amount raised was £3,172.00, an amazing amount, which will help the club immensely as it looks to grow and build.
Members of the Constable family, Todd, Debbie, Chloe and Gemma, presented a cheque to club chair Wayne Stevenson.
Todd said: "Seeing the cheque being presented today was a special moment for our family. What started as an idea to honour Eric became something far bigger. A day that brought so many people together and created lasting memories.
"Thank you again to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, played and supported in anyway. Your generosity and kindness continue to mean more than we can say. This was, and always will be, for Eric.
The club would also like to thank all those that attended what was a truly special day, one which we hope to add as an annual fixture to the calendar.
