Southam United Secures 2025/26 Accreditation

Southam United Football Club has retained it's two-star FA Accreditation.

The FA's Accreditation process recognises clubs that provide a complete player pathway and structured football opportunities for male, female, or disability football, supported by a Club Development Plan.

It uses a star system to recognise the quality and inclusivity of football clubs. A 2-star club demonstrates a more complete provision of football opportunities than a 1-star club, focusing on structured player pathways and development for all participants.

This level is designed for clubs that aim to offer a sustainable, well-organized, and inclusive environment for players, coaches, and volunteers.

Key Requirements

To achieve or maintain 2-star accreditation, a club must:

  • Provide a complete accredited player pathway for either male, female, or disability football, ensuring all teams play within FA-sanctioned league competitions.
  • Offer at least one team from a different pathway, demonstrating inclusivity and diversity in football opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a Club Development Plan, which outlines the club’s strategy for sustainability, growth, and community engagement.
  • Meet FA policies and standards, including welfare, coaching qualifications, and administrative requirements.

We are currently focussed on building our provision for junior, senior sides in both the male and female pathway, and in the future, as part of our club development plan, aim to offer more inclusive football provision for all.
